Netflix: To Dub or Not to Dub; That’s the Option

Sources have confirmed English and Japanese language options for (nearly) all the FUNimation anime on Netflix’s streaming service. I don’t know about you, but I prefer Japanese language with English subtitles 9 times out of 10. This is great news for those of us who rely on the legit sources for streaming anime.

Personally, I focus heavily on Crunchyroll, so it’s pretty exciting to see the anime watcher’s viewing experience getting so much better in the past couple of years here. The rights and red tape involved with anime licensing are complicated and stressful, often it’s the production studio’s greediness that keeps us from enjoying all of the anime we should. It’s good to know the leaders in the industry are working hard for us viewers who just want to appreciate anime.

Here’s an updated list of anime currently available on Netflix. However, there are a few titles already excluded from this new feature. They include: Samurai 7, Speed Grapher, and Mushi-shi.

So… get ready to borrow your friend’s Netflix login; and get to streaming some anime on Netflix with dual audio language options!

Senyu (Part 2) Episode 18 – The Hero Is Terrified

My favorite anime short, Senyu just released moments ago on Crunchyroll. Senyu is in its second season and simulcasts every Tuesday at 10a PDT. Today’s episode is titled “The Hero is Terrified”. You’ll need a premium account to catch it this week, or wait until next week to watch it for free.

I cannot get enough of their sense of humor, even the titles crack me up. Enjoy watching the Hero as he continues to not live up to his name. Here’s some screenshots, since the episodes are just too short to post a preview video.

WataMote Episode 4 – Since I’m Not Popular, I’ll Have a Good Dream

My favorite show of the summer season is back with a new episode on Crunchyroll! In “Since I’m Not Popular, I’ll Have a Good Dream”, Tomoko goes from wanting sexy dreams, to wanting to be molested on the train, to buying expensive panties and a vibrator. THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING.

Asura’s Wrath Perfect Artworks DVD Now Available

0 comments // in Games Photos // // Posted by muten

Asura’s Wrath Perfect Artworks is a very serious collection of production art and design from last year’s hit video game, Asura’s Wrath.

Personally, I was extremely inspired by the art direction of Asura’s Wrath. They really created some of the most staggering environments and CG cutscenes that I’d ever seen in console gaming before.

The DVD totes 3,300+ pages of material and comes at a price tag worthy of such: ¥ 5000 or $815.33. If you’re a baller, here’s a link to the product on Amazon Japan.

It comes with the following :

  1. “E-GA-” (all 252 pages) – Workflow illustrations and Tokitsu
  2. “蒐-SHU-” (all 689 pages) – Stage configuration documentation
  3. “Play-GEKI-” (all 2388 pages) – All recorded storyboards, including the unpublished scene was cut
  4. “Solution-KAI-” (all 48 pages) – Highlight commentary

I don’t know if I’ll be buying it, but I’m certainly going to post as many images from it as I can!
